Professor Giorgi Pkhakadze has been working in public health in a number of regions (South Asia, Central Asia, Eastern Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe). He has provided his expertise for the set-up and implementation of public health policies and programmes – for several UN agencies, for the Global Fund (GFATM), for the European Union, for private consultancy companies, and nongovernmental organizations, as well as for public and private hospitals. Professor Pkhakadze previously served as a member of the Independent Review Committee, GAVI and is currently a member of the Technical Review Panel for the GFATM. He is also a Professor in Epidemiology and Public Health and published several books and articles internationally in the field of Public Health and Anthropology. View more posts
