Our focus: health systems in transition

Most international accreditors concentrate where the market is easiest: private flagship hospitals in wealthy or upper-middle-income settings. ASF’s priority is different. We work with facilities in countries whose health systems are in transition — rebuilding after crisis, reforming after systemic change, or professionalising rapidly toward international benchmarks.

Why it matters

In transitioning systems, accreditation is not a badge — it is a development instrument. External evaluation accelerates reform, builds public trust, unlocks medical travel and insurance partnerships, and gives health workers a framework for professional pride.

How our model is adapted

The new ASF accreditation system — launching 2026

Eight years of implementation experience have been distilled into a complete accreditation system built specifically for this frontier: transitional health systems, smaller hospitals, facilities with limited resources. The system is being presented in 2026, with international enrolment opening in 2027 — offering international-standard external evaluation at a fraction of the cost of the established accreditors. The model in action: Georgia

Our partnership with the Public Health Institute of Georgia shows what this approach delivers on the ground — accreditation, training, CME and a public facility register operating today. Read about ASF in Georgia.
