Core programme

ASF Accreditation — hospitals up to 50 beds.

€990/month. 20 services. Approximately 24 months to first award. The certificate is valid only while continuous monitoring continues.

General medicine

The baseline programme. Patient safety, clinical quality, safe pathways, infection prevention, medication management, patient council, complaint system, training.

Specialist facilities

Adapted for surgical, oncology, cardiac, paediatric hospitals. The four constants apply; specialty-specific standards are added. Quoted on assessment.

Larger hospitals

Hospitals above 50 beds are assessed individually. The framework is the same; fee and scope are tailored. Write to ASF for a proposal.

Patient Voice by ASF

Independent patient council and neutral ombudsman. QR-code feedback direct to ASF. Written response to every submission. Monthly coded report. Available to any hospital — accredited or not, member or not. Learn more →

Specialisation within accreditation.

Available alongside core membership for facilities with defined specialisations. Each builds on the core accreditation framework and is assessed in the annual survey.

Dialysis

Standards for renal replacement therapy safety, access management and patient monitoring.

IVF & Reproductive Medicine

Laboratory quality, gamete handling, consent standards and outcome reporting.

Maternal & Perinatal Care

Safe birth pathways, neonatal protocols, WHO Baby-Friendly alignment.

Laboratory

Pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical quality. ISO 15189-aligned criteria.

Telehealth

Remote consultation standards, data governance, patient identification, emergency escalation.

Sustainability

Environmental management, energy, waste and supply-chain sustainability criteria.
