ASF Governance & Policy Manual · ASF-POL-38
Environmental and Social Safeguards
Part of the ASF Governance & Policy Manual. Adapted from the PHIG Institutional Policy Manual (consolidated edition, September 2026).
Any ASF project beyond core accreditation activity — a donor-funded initiative, a pilot programme — is screened for environmental and social risk before it starts, with risks managed through a proportionate plan. Owner: ASF Secretariat. Distinct from the Sustainable Care standards content ASF publishes for facilities (Standards 9–13 across modules), which this policy does not govern.
