How the loop works

Every criterion in every ASF standard names a short course — thirty minutes, online, on that one criterion — under the heading “E-learning”. There are 450 of them. None has been built yet, deliberately: courses are produced in the order facilities need them, and the way a facility says what it needs is by registering interest. The self-assessment engine does this automatically for every gap; this page does it for anyone.

Each course is tied to one criterion, so it is also tied to one tool and one guidance page: a facility that scores PARTIAL on 4.6 sees the course for 4.6, the tool that evidences 4.6, and the guidance for 4.6 in the same place. When a course is built, it appears here as “Available” with its link on the ASF Academy at academy.gmj.ge, and completion is recorded in the ASF Passport.

Independence, stated plainly

ASF Academy is run by GMJ Academy, an affiliated venture of ASF’s founder. That overlap is disclosed here because it invites fair scrutiny. Under the Independence and Non-Influence Statement and the Code of Conduct, no course — taken or not taken — has any bearing on any accreditation decision; the evaluation branch does not know who has enrolled; and any equivalent training from any provider is accepted as evidence where a criterion asks for training.
