International Accreditation of Healthcare Facilities

SRV-01

Become a Certified ASF Surveyor

The ASF Surveyor leads formal accreditation surveys — structured site visits that result in an official accreditation recommendation to the Accreditation Decision Committee. The highest credential in the ASF professional pathway.

9 modules + final assessment
AS-XXXXX credential
85% pass mark
Annual renewal
Prerequisites — all three required

1. MON-01 — ASF Monitor Certification (AM-XXXXX credential, current)
2. CRD-01 — ASF Coordinator Certification (AC-XXXXX credential, current)
3. 2 years of documented field experience in healthcare facility quality or accreditation, verified by ASF before enrolment is confirmed.

What the Surveyor does

The Surveyor plans and leads formal accreditation surveys on behalf of ASF. Unlike the Monitor — who works inside a continuous annual cycle with a single facility — the Surveyor is deployed to conduct a structured, time-limited survey of a facility’s compliance with ASF standards, resulting in a scored report and a formal recommendation to the Accreditation Decision Committee (ADC). The ADC makes the final accreditation decision; the Surveyor’s role is to provide complete, objective findings.

Surveyors are active across both ASF pathways: full ASF Accreditation (Surveyor-led, ADC-decided) and ASF Certification (delivered through National Accreditation Partners, lower thresholds).
