ASF reduces the environmental footprint of its own operations and integrates climate and health into its work. Owner: Board Chair.
- Travel: online meetings first; rail or shared transport where practical; flights only when the purpose requires.
- Office: energy-efficient equipment, paper-light processes, separated waste and recycling where available.
- Procurement: environmental criteria in tender evaluation where relevant (Policy 21).
- Events: no single-use plastics where alternatives exist; local suppliers preferred.
- Programmes: climate-related health risks (heat, air quality, extreme weather, vector-borne disease) are considered in project design under the Environment, Work and Health pillar.
- Reporting: an annual summary of travel and energy use, with a reduction target set by the Board.
