What it is
A condensed self-check based on the WHO Laboratory Quality Stepwise Implementation (LQSI) tool: the twelve quality-system essentials (organisation, personnel, equipment, purchasing, process control, information management, documents, occurrence management, assessment, improvement, customer service, facilities and safety), each scored 0–4, mapped to the four LQSI phases.
Where to use it
Laboratory lead with the quality officer, twice a year; the score and the next-phase actions to the medical director.
