What it is
The bedside check before every unit: patient identity by two identifiers from the patient and the wristband, the unit label against the compatibility form and the prescription, blood group and expiry, the unit's condition, consent — done by two people independently, at the bedside, and documented; plus the observation schedule during the transfusion.
