ASF Governance & Policy Manual · ASF-POL-43
Accountability to Affected People
Part of the ASF Governance & Policy Manual. Adapted from the PHIG Institutional Policy Manual (consolidated edition, September 2026).
ASF is accountable first to the people its accreditation decisions ultimately affect — patients and residents at accredited facilities, not only the facilities themselves. Owner: ASF Secretariat.
This is operationalised through the Patient Voice survey programme referenced in ASF’s accreditation process, the AI-disclosure criteria added across all 9 modules (patients informed when AI is used in their care), and the complaint channel published under Feedback, Complaints and Incident Management (ASF-POL-21), which is open to patients and the public, not only facilities.
